Small Group Youth

PWR-Pods

The Joshua Project Youth PWR-Pod here at St. Rose of Lima will meet bi-weekly, in the Rotunda beginning Friday March 17th @ 6pm.   The frequency of these meetings will provide discipleship and support for the students so that they can keep their flame burning in between the Joshua Project Large Group Rallies.

JPY PWR-Pods are smaller group meetings that provide a more intimate setting in which youth can develop godly discipleship relationships with other Catholic Youth who live close to them.

The goal of each JPY PWR-Pod is to help students ENCOUNTER JESUS through PWR (Prayer, the Word of God, Relationships) by reinforcing the things which are taught at the Joshua Project Large Group Rallies.

Prayer

PWR-Pods will include many types of Prayer:
 

  • Eucharistic Adoration

  • Sacred Music & Prayer

  • Spontaneous Prayer

  • Liturgical Prayer

  • Confession
     

Word of God

PWR-Pods will include study/teaching of the Word of God
 

  • The Word of God through the Bible

  • The Word of God through the Saints

  • The Word of God through the Laity

  • The Word of God through Priests, Deacons & Religious
     

Relationships

PWR-Pods will help Facilitate Relationships
 

  • Student/Student Relationships

  • Student/Parent Relationships

  • Student/Priest Relationships

Meeting Schedule

The Youth PWR-Pod will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The first event begins on Friday, March 17th @ 6-8pm in the Rotunda and will include Pizza & Beverages.

 

  • March 17 – Wisdom vs. Foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:18-30)

  • March 31 – God Created You! (St. John 1:1-5)

  • April 14 – What is My Purpose? (Ephesians 2:10)

  • April 28 – Jesus Has EVERYTHING you Need (Mt 6:33)

  • May 12 – PWR to Overcome Trials (Galatians 2:20)

  • May 26 – Evangelism Explosion! (Mark 16:15)

  • June 9 – Preparing for Heaven (Revelation 12:11)

  • June 23 – God Will Finish What He Started (Phil 1:6)

  • July 7 – Prepare for Revival (Acts 1:8)
